Jedi Days and Jedi Knights

We'll start with a local boy's handiwork:

Tom Jozwiak's R2-D2. Tom is a Bolingbrook resident who I met a CIII.

Today we were really starting to wear out, so we made it a shorter day. As we left the convention at an embarrassingly early 5:30 p.m., I was amazed at how many people were doing the same. I think it all starts to get a little overwhelming come Day 3. Still, there's no place like Celebration. The conversations you have are ones you could never get into anywhere else. People can actually talk about the "Episodes 1 to 3" here and never use the word "stinks"! It's awesome.

The man at right looked enough like The Maker, George Lucas, that people interrupted his lunch several times to get his photo.

Today we caught Charlie Ross' "One Man Trilogy." We saw it for the first time at CIII, and it is one of the things that is truly worth the wait. Charlie acts out every main character for the Original Trilogy in an hour. He also pokes fun at some of the Trilogy' mysteries, like, why didn't Chewie get a medal at the end of the original "Star Wars"? He is so much fun to watch, and truly loves what he is doing. He is, as he said at the end of the show, "one of us." He appeared once at the Paramount in Aurora, and if he ever hits the Chicago area again, I can't recommend this show enough. It is a riot.

The Lucasfilm Archives room included a set of Luke-related props, including the "severed head" which revealed his face under Vader's mask in the cave scene in "The Empire Strikes Back."

And I stand corrected, again. It is Zuckuss. Of course, it could not be as easy as Zukkus, which is how I spelled it this morning. I actually saw a Zuckuss figure in the Exhibit Hall today. I should have picked it up for Seth Green.

Tomorrow is the last day. We are doing an "Amazing Race" style event in the morning called, what else, The Kessel Run. In honor of it, today's trivia. Who did the Kessel Run? How long did it take this person?
