Five years and counting. That's how long the Naperville Police Department has topped the list of drunken driving arrests by Illinois towns other than Chicago, according to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists.
AAIM reported Monday that Naperville made 808 DUI arrests in 2006. Why is Naperville so serious about making DUI arrests? Is it because of tragic crashes that have claimed the lives of innocent young people? Are Naperville's DUI patrols reasonable and beneficial, in your opinion?

i’ d like to see the driving thing done by people that regularly drink and drive, i know a few and they drive better than they normally do when drunk because they put more effort out in order to drive safely. as for the cell phone thing it is a matter of how invovled they are in the conversation, my sister was looking at a red light with a red car going through an intersection while on a cell phone and continued on until every one in the car yelled at her to stop, while i frequently drive with my cell phone...
A DWI is a very serious crime of Driving While Intoxicated.
