In the stars...and in The Sun

Hogwarts’ Divination professor, Sibyll Trelawney, isn’t known for her accurate predictions. But when several palm readers sat down at their crystal balls in Anderson’s Bookshop from 7 to 10 p.m., we thought we’d see what they saw in our futures.

Emily was told the long, curved line circling her thumb meant she would live a long and happy life. The line through the middle of her hand indicated she was very dedicated to her career, which the palm reader guessed was something to do with writing – perhaps a journalist?

It’s unclear whether the “verbal lines” the palm reader discerned or the reporter’s notebook open on Emily’s lap gave it away.

Lauren informed the palm reader she was a reporter from the outset and was told there was a big headline in her future.

“But I’m not going to give you the scoop,” she said. “You’re going to have to work for it.”

Those of us who don't possess the Seeing Eye will have to watch the front page of The Naperville Sun to see if her prediction comes true.
