How about our ridiculous concern with being politically correct: referencing people in this country illegally as undocumented vice the actual description? The use of winter break to replace the reference to Christmas Vacation, or the over the top introduction of Islam to public school students. The newspapers in this country, including this one, never printed a picture of the cartoon of Mohamed with the bomb in his turban. Remember, this would be the picture that caused numerous deaths around the world because some determined that it was politically or religiously incorrect. Unfortunately there were many people who were not permitted an opportunity to determine its significance for themselves because it was never made available by our politically correct newspapers. Well in deference, maybe the newspapers were just too afraid to print it and if that’s true it is even more shameful. So much for our fourth estate and their credibility. The silly fear of using the word God in our Pledge of Allegiance or on our coinage which is so much part of the fabric of this Country. The U.S. Supreme Court has the Ten Commandments posted and we can’t tolerate things so historically ingrained in our development as a nation? The list just goes on and on. Apparently the people of this country have become so immature that they cannot accommodate or tolerate anything they feel offensive or is the ugly term of the day. There are people whose noisy voice has they been permitted to alter the truth to accommodate their singular perspective, just like so many school children.

How about Government intrusion into our lives? Where in the Constitution does it allow permission for government to enter a private business and banish a legal activity? When did we so completely concede our lives to the government and demand that government take care of us? Does anyone really believe that government is first capable, and second, mandated in any way by the constitution to so completely take over our lives? I know of one property owner that was not permitted to sub-divide her own lot! No legal reason involved: it just wouldn’t look good according to the politicians’ in charge! Does the Fourteenth Amendment mean anything anymore? Government run amuck perhaps? Many of us either do not have or do not take the time to monitor our local government, so what hope do we have for those at the state or federal level? Anyone notice the silliness of our current State officials? By the way, who voted for that Carillon anyway? Can anyone realistically conclude that all politicians are altruistic and universally good stewards of your rights? Anyone envision this improving soon? Anyone think we need to be more watchful?
