The 13 years I have lived in Naperville, I have only experienced the take, take, take - entitled - impatient - me first community members.

I'm sure the givers are out there, but if they are like me, you don't set off flares to bring attention to yourself.

Due to the high cost of food, gas and high taxes, we are no longer able to give. We are just trying to make ends meet.

Like many others we were conned by the sub prime mortgage brokers/lenders and put in a house that exceeds our affordability. We trusted them!

Now we are paying the price.

We are lucky if we will be able to give again in 10 years!

I do not believe we are the only ones in this category.

I am thankful for the long term insight from those responsible for the many parks, trails and public walkways that are available in our area. Places such as Springbrook Prairie, Knock Knolls park and the river walk are very enjoyable.
