Blago guilty

| 4 Comments | No TrackBacks

The second Rod Blagojevich trial is over, ending in a guilty verdict, and now it appears that Illinois could have two former governors in jail. On a local note, a Naperville woman served as foreman on Blagojevich's jury. Has any other state suffered this kind if indignity? I guess you could say that since one is a Democrat and the other a Republican that there is some weird balance there. What are your thoughts? Is this thing finally over?

YAWN

Makes you proud to live in Illinois. doesn't it?

I hope it's finally over. Has he been sentenced yet?

Blago committed the crimes and was found guilty this time on 17 out of 20 counts by a jury of his peers. Period. It has nothing to do with party politics. Too bad these types of public figure criminals who betrayed the citizenry that put their trust in them (i.e. Ryan, Rostenkowski, etc.) end up spending their time at "Club Fed," walking chihuahuas in athletic workout suits instead of at Stateville with the general prison population.
