The home is a first for the AHA who invested in high end fixtures in an effort to make the home feel more like a private sector residence rather than a Public housing unit.

Jared Mead is closing the farm to table distance at Rivers Edge Cafe in Downtown Aurora. Mead, an employee at the cafe, designed, built and planted six garden boxes on the roof of the neighboring building with the help of friend and co-worker Reese Boyd. The pair plan to use the vegetables they harvest in a few of the dishes at the cafe.
Yesterday was the National Day of Prayer and residents in Aurora celebrated with the Aurora Christian Ministry Network by walking across town, stopping at various schools, city blocks and police stations along the way to pray for those they thought needed it.
