When I started here at The Herald News I weighed about 20-25 pounds more. I was a short chubby girl.
After quitting pop, taking a trip to Mexico and bringing home a virus, in addition to watching what I eat, I was able to shed the pounds and am rather comfortable with myself now.
So comfortable in fact that my head shot, aka mug shot, you currently see next to this blog makes me want to hurl. I swear those 20 pounds are all in my cheeks.
Besides my face just being fat all together, the balls in my cheeks that were passed on by my mother are even bigger and are really all you can see when you look at it.
In anticipation of this blog and us not having our mug shots up yet, I bugged my photo editor to retake it. It is about three years old now so it's not really an unfair request.
The chubby picture was taken my first week on the job so of course I couldn't stop smiling and I look like an eight-year-old in a candy shop. And trust me, three years ago I definitely didn't need any candy.
Anyway, my editor was kind enough to take a new shot of me, but has yet to pass it along to the appropriate people. So when I went to our web site the other day and saw the headline for our blog and the fat face girl next to it, I was disgusted and marched to my editor's desk.
As you can see a couple of days later, it still has no luck and chubby girl is still filling your computer screen. I will once again bug the hell out of my editor in hopes of removing the chubby girl ASAP.
Until then try to ignore the picture and take a look at our lovely Mallory Medved's instead. The one good thing to come out of this: it's a reminder to stay away from the candy.
