Morris High School blood drive...

The Morris High School student council is hosting a blood drive from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Please note that the hours go into the evening. This was done in effort to allow community members to participate after work hours, said Amy Matteson, a junior council member at Monday's school board meeting.

If the school is going through the extra effort to man this event into the evening than the least we can do is help their cause and go give some blood.

Here are the details:

When: Thursday, Sept. 11 from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Where: MCHS Wrestling Gym

Please call 815-942-1294 for an appointment. Walk in's will be accepted however appointments are preferred.

As the school officials pointed out in their release on the event, this is a great way to remember those lost seven years ago Thursday when our country was attacked.

And as an extra bonus each donor will get a pair of Morris High School pajama pants!

If you need more information call the school's staff student council representative Barb Rath at (815) 941-5321.
