I took this picture Monday while out and about in Morris getting flood coverage.

The man driving this truck was driving out of the water in effort to turn around and gain speed to push the blue pick up truck behind him out.

What you don't see is me almost being submerged by the trucks waves as he drives toward me.

I was standing on the sidewalk right next to the grass on the right of the picture. It was as close as I could get without actually getting wet.

So being the focused journalist that I am I continued to stand their as the truck drove at me in effort to get as many close-ups as possible. But what I didn't realize was the rush of water coming at me.

I looked up just in time to see the wave of water rushing toward me and immediately turned and started running. I am not exaggerating when I tell you I missed getting sucked into the pool of water by seconds. The ten emergency workers watching can tell you since they all laughed at me as I went running.

As a matter of fact the whole Morris Police Station can attest to this since when I walked in there today several officers laughed at me. I took that as a sign that word has gotten around.
