I was supposed to go out to see Mooseheart take on Chicago (Waldorf) in the Class 1A boys basketball regional semifinals at Westminster Christian. The Ramblers, as a No. 3 seed were expected to roll No. 14 seed Waldorf.

I don’t know the circumstances, and I don’t want to sit here and speculate as to why it happened, but Waldorf forfeited the game. Mooseheart officially wins 2-0 and advances.

It’s a strange contrast to how the girls team advanced, winning its first regional game in 20 years on a last-minute 3-pointer.
