Bank of America Open: Rd. 2 - Rain delay theater

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

the worst thing about golf (and baseball for that matter) is the potential for a rain delay....which is what we had early at the Bank of America Open at The Glen Club in Glenview...

The 2nd round started an hour and a half late .... and now things are moving along seemingly at a glacial pace. Most of the leaders don't tee off until the afternoon, except for Kris Blanks (currently t2, two shots back of leader Kyle Reifers)....

There is drama today though - there is very little wind right now, setting up another great scoring day. Heading in, the projected cut is currently at 2-under, but who knows what will happen once the next system moves in....especially since the round wont be finished today...they'll go to 2 tees tomorrow to finish the round and begin the 3rd..

Rain delays in golf are odd ... its not like at a baseball game where the home team invariably plays highlights....there literally is nothing to do...

To pass the time, here's some rain delay video...

and what exactly is "brain dead damage" and "heat heating up"??...rain delays throw off even the media people in this sport...
