Daily Dose: Oct. 28 - Captain Kirk, you're demoted!

it's funny. last night the Beacon sports deskers were talking about the terrible situation The Beloved Bulls are in with Derrick Rose, Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon and Larry Hughes all being on the roster and how Our Cousin Vinny lucked out with Hughes' shoulder injury.

We all agreed that Hinrich should probably start, with Gordon being on the floor at the end of games to let Rose set up for shots (since he can't create his own). As for Hughes...ugh.

But anyway, we were talking about how the only person of those four that could handle coming off the bench was Hinrich.

and guess what? that's exactly what has happened.

The Bulls are in such a bad, bad way with Gordon and Hughes. Little Ben is going to what to start and play and chuck in order to get around 20 per game so he can try and work some team for more than the $50 mil over 5 he turned down a year ago. So you know he'd be a problem on the bench - just like last year.

And Hughes will be a problem if he's on the bench. I'm sure Pax would love to dump Hughes, but with his injury, it won't happen at least until the deadline. And while Hinrich might be enticing to some teams, he regressed so badly last year that he has no value.

Well, at least we've got Joakim. Right?
