Daily Dose: April 1 - Day of Fools

wow, are people stupid.

I've spent the better part of the last 24 hours hearing Cubs fans pine for Micah Hoffpauir.

I'm not saying Derrek Lee is the best first baseman in baseball, but the man is better than some 29-year-old rookie who hasn't done a thing in the major leagues.

Lee hasn't hit worse than .286 in the last 4 years and is good for 20+ home runs and 90+ RBI.
Hoffpauir has 73 major league at-bats.

Seven. Three. I bet these people can't even spell Hoffpauir, but they're quick to giggle at their "6-4-Lee" references...

Then there are the dopes who have said that Kyle Ortman is better than Jay Cutler. And not at producing insulin - at quarterbacking in the NFL. Really. Unbelievable.

today is definitely, a day for fools.

Who is this "Kyle Ortman" of which you speak? :P

Micah Hoffpauir = Jeff Liefer

"Ortman" is Orton's apparently obvious alter ego who has deceived Bears fans into believing that Orton is indeed talented enough and capable enough of becoming a Pro-Bowl QB. "Ortman" is very, very popular here it seems...
