The 2010 Marmion Cadets made Aurora history this past fall by reaching the Class 6A title game, and now several of the key players from that squad will be continuing their careers at the next level.

Beacon News Player of the Year T.J. Lally was offered and accepted a full scholarship to South Dakota State of the Missouri Valley Football Conference. The Jackrabbits play in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), formerly called Division I-AA.

Teammate and Beacon New all-area first teamer Nick Scoliere will now oppose Lally as he committed to South Dakota State rival North Dakota State of the Great West Conference. The Bison also play in the FCS.

The North-South Dakota rivalry dates back to 1906.

Cadets offensive lineman Graham Glasgow continues to weigh preferred walk-on options at both University of Minnesota and the University of Illinois.

Fellow o-lineman Jake Winkel has a standing offer from Winona State and is visiting Truman State this weekend. He is also waiting to hear about possible acceptance to West Point.
