Welcome everyone to the Beacon News' live blog from the IHSA Class 7A state championship game between Geneva (13-0) and East St. Louis (12-1) from Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of Illinois in Champaign.

This is the rematch of last year's Class 7A quarterfinal in with the Flyers defeated the Vikings 34-26 in East St. Louis. It is also the first time the Vikings have reached the state title game since 1975. This is the Flyers' ninth appearance but first since 1991. On an individual note, Geneva running back Michael Ratay is one touchdown away from tying the IHSA single-season record for rush touchdowns in a season.

Welcome everyone to the Beacon News' live blog from the IHSA Class 4A state championship game between Aurora Christian (13-0) and Bloomington Central Catholic (14-0) from Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of Illinois in Champaign.

This is the first time an Aurora high school has made it to the state title game in football, and history is on the line against a Saints team that was the Class 4A runner-up last season.
