What does Swami think of disgraced and apparently befuddled ex-Gov. George Ryan? Maybe he should take up the same noble quest as O.J. Simpson. They’ll both be out searching for the really guilty person……
Isn’t Ryan so totally scummy that he makes you feel the need of a quick cleansing shower after watching him on television? What a creepy old man.
He’s the perfect embodiment of the proof that being guilty and feeling guilty are two different things. Ryan seems to have told himself so often that stealing thousands from state taxpayers wasn’t really stealing at all, because, you know, everyone else in Illinois government does the same thing. It’s the Illinois way.
And this thought. Swami has been to that area of Wisconsin where he will be incarcerated for the next six years. The theory that he’s getting off lightly because the prison in Oxford, Wis., doesn’t have bars or gates is something of a misstatement.
Just BEING there for six years will be enough of a punishment. That part of Wisconsin in February is one swell vacation resort. And he doesn't even get to visit Madison once in a while for a night of re-invigorating bar hopping.
And it certainly could have been worse for him. If Ryan had been sentenced to a medium security lockup, his filmed story of life behind bars would have been entitled “Saving Ryan’s Privates.” But we think George is beyond his prime as a sex slave, even for federal prisoners.
And before you getting all mushy and soft about the old man in prison, keep this in mind.
He stole for decades. It wasn’t even a close call. And he still claims what he did was OK.
