Send her back to Mexico

Swami, now that we have yet another illegal immigrant taking up sanctuary in a Chicago church and daring immigration cops to arrest her, what should we think about this one? Isn’t enough enough. Signed Peeved in Plattville.

We say send in the federales, bust Flor Crisóstomo and dispatch her forthwith back to Mexico.

Seem harsh to you?

We think Crisóstomo is another civil protester who just don’t know the rules of the American game. She doesn’t even have the excuse of needing to stay here to tend to her children. Her children are in Mexico while she’s hanging out in the same store front church, Adalberto United Methodist Church, that kept activist Elvira Arellano holed up for a year.

For those who came in late, here are the rules. You protest an unjust American law by submitting to it and using your travesty of you penalty as testimony to the injustice of tyranny. You can't win much credit by taking advantage of the freedom the nation gives just by breathing its air and then chanting "unfair" only when you get caught.

If Arellano’s forced exodus to Mexico had produced terrible consequences for her and her family, we likely would have heard about it. No news yet.

"I am taking a stand of civil disobedience," Crisóstomo told reporters other than the Swami on Monday. "I believe with all my heart that the United States and Mexico must end the system of undocumented labor."

Swami agrees with that. And the first step to end her participation in the undocumented labor in the United States is to send her back to Mexico.

Here’s what a news report reveals: “The Rev. Walter Coleman, pastor of the Adalberto Methodist Church in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, said that by living at the church -- apart from her three children -- Crisóstomo brings attention to how they believe immigration policies in the U.S. need attention.”

Ha!!

And again Swami retorts HA!

Unfortunately she was doing just fine living apart from her children. It was the "being close her children" part of the equation that was about to cause the problem.

Swami has had several wayward offspring himself, and being apart from them seemed to be therapeutic for all involved, especially Swami.

So we get her point about being in Chicago with a job is a better deal than being in Mexico without a job (and with three children which grandma cares for now). But, sorry, this doesn't quite make her MLK marching in Selma.

The really difficult part of life for Crisóstomo? She has to spend all day with Methodists. Ee-yuck.

Swami once was trapped in an elevator for 20 minutes with Methodists. Trust us. It's an ugly turn of events.

Why do these illegals think we owe them a living on a silver platter when they break our laws? This woman has been here for 6 years and cannot speak English. I am sick of seeing these people protesting in our streets and complaining about what we won't 'give' them when they come here, have one baby after another, not marrying the father and collect welfare and WIC. I say 1) close the borders; 2) fine anyone who hires illegals; 3) shut down welfare/state aid to anyone who refuses to supply the name of the fathers of the kids. They work under the table and cry poor to the community. Send them all back including the kids who were born here of illegal mothers. If the parents are not legal, then the kids aren't either.

I AGREE DEBBIE. PARENTS NOT LEGAL BABIES NOT LEGAL. Write your Congressman today an tell him.

Enter America, legally? You're Welcome. Enter America illegally? See you later, Bye! Don't contuinuosly be going to churches for sanctuary. God, didn't assist victims in WTC. Did he?

I agree, children born to illegals should not be considered Americans. As a matter of fact, let's take it one step further! Grandchildren and great grandchildren born to illegals should not be considered American! Wait a second, why stop there? I know why! Because at some point, how far we go back may affect people like Debbie! It's that narrow minded thinking that will continually slow down progress.

No Miguel, what the problem is that all these illegals come here, have their kids and then get a free ride from our government while not reporting the father is supporting them by working under the table. Deport them all! Cut off all free aid and they will stay in Mexico. Unless you are legal, you get nothing, nodda, zero. Stop saying you are coming here for a better living when all you do is take the taxpayers money and steal our identity.

Okay Debbie, Let's say you get your one sided and unrealistic wish and we deport them all. Do you think that will significantly improve the economic state of the U.S.? Seriously?!?! Do you think that will end the abuse of a welfare system that was put in place to help those that seriously need help? Omitting the fact that a welfare recipient is also getting financial aid from their significant other is nothing new! That is not a tactic invented or perfected by undocumented workers! Don't kid yourself! Here's the way I see it, if employers would stop making jobs available for non documented workers... guess what, they'd stop coming! What you're trying to do is punish the drug user and not the dealer. Lock up the johns not the prostitute or pimp! I'm desperately failing to understand your incomprehensible logic! Also, you make mention that they come here to take taxpayers money and steal their identities. However, on the flip side, I constantly keep hearing how they come here to take our jobs. So which is it? I thought you paid taxes when you have a job... so are they stealing from themselves? Identity theft is theft no matter how you dissect it. Deporting the undocumented will not stop identity theft. You bring up a valid point however I don't think its identity theft you're really concerned about. I think you don't care for a certain demographic even if they were documented. Maybe I'm reading too much between your lines, but everything you make mention of dictates otherwise. I think you’re trying to push a hidden agenda, but I seriously hope I’m wrong!

Just know that no matter how many laws are put in place or how many walls and fences are built, know that no one can stop a desperate man from feeding his family. You'd even surprise yourself what you'd do when fallen on desperate times... again, stop kidding yourself from the comfort of your home!
