What Swami has learned from this experience is that there is a new, proven model cure for being Tasered, the kind of shock where the cops unleash little harpoon guns that shoot prongs into your body and then zing you with jolts of electricity through the connector wires.
The woman who received the eight-zing attack - and it sort of sounds like she wasn’t really immobilized by the experience but just really aggravated - was saved from any lasting harm by a three-way cocktail of preventive medicine.
First she was 280 pounds. Taser works on muscle which contracts violently when the electricity hits it. As anyone who weighs 280 pounds can tell you, nothing makes fat contract unless its liposuction. It’s lucky for the Zion cops they didn’t break down her door and find an outraged Moby Dick on the other side. They’d still being trying to Ahab her.
The second cornerstone is tequila. Lots 'o tequila. She’d apparently being drinking for a considerable time and had never gotten to the worm.
The third cornerstone is that she spent all day smoking pot.
Say, Bucko, this sounds like some swell Par-TAY. Swami nevers gets invited to parties like that.
In fact, she was one really motivated angry person because drinking tequila and smoking pot normally makes you want to lie down and take a long nap. People who smoke lots of pot normally only commit crimes that involve breaking into a 7-11 to steal more Fritos. Pot smokers are prone to felonious munchy attacks.
So was one ticked off lady when the cops arrived.
We’re wondering if it wouldn’t have been more efficient just to knee-cap her, bring in a large crane, hoist her body up and take her to the hospital. This is why they invented big bore shotguns.

We pay these these people to put there lives on the line every day to protect and serve and by the way of the story they were protecting another person from this monsterous woman! If thats what it took to sub-due her THEN SO BE IT! AS far as the the So-called Racism and yada, yada crap.. get over it... they would have tazered anyone who would not comply to orders or the law regardless if your white, hispanic, 4'2' and 180lbs. And being such a large woman and having an anti-depressant such as a whole tequila bottle, being tazered 8 times prolly tickled her funny bone! I prefer they use the tazer than pull out the paton or worse the issued 9mm. I think they did her a favor by tazering her. Maybe she has learned her lesson for next time because we all know there will be a next time when she cracks open the next Jose Cuervo bottle this weekend!

First off if you have any knowledge you'd realize you can look up anything on the internet. That means how tasers work. If you're 280 pounds, I highly doubt you have a lot of muscle unless you're a professional body builder. If you were a body builder I would believe that you'd be down a lot quicker than a 280lb. obese woman that drank a bottle of alcohol and smoked pot. This lady was belligerent, abusive (she broke a vase over someone else's head!), and uncooperative. And refusing to cooperate with police and being abusive just gives the police all the right to do what they had to do. They put their lives out there to help protect us and people scream abuse when police try to protect themselves! I don't know, have a 280lb. obese woman fall on me or subdue her with a taser and avoid what could be a bad outcome. People are unpredictable so you have plan for the worst and hope for the best.

And the Miranda Rights are common knowledge anyways. And saying keep this out of Beach Park doesn't make much sense too. Last time I checked Beach Park was in Benton Township. Wait a second, isn't Zion in Benton Township. It all makes sense now, Zion-Benton Township!!! So does that mean other than a town name and city limits, Beach Park, Zion, and Winthrop Harbor are pretty much one in the same? In my opinion it doesn't make a bit of difference because Beach Park boarders Zion. "Trailer parks" in Beach Park vs. the "ghetto" in Zion. It doesn't matter how you look at it each town has their problems, some more than others.
In the end a 280lb. woman was drunk, stupid, acted out of control, and did something you never do and that's aggravate a police officer that's just trying to keep the peace. But instead she was taserd 8 times and people think race has to be an issue, its torture, and it only happens in Zion. But the fact of the matter is none of that matter’s because race is just a color, self-defense and competence isn't torture, and everyone has had these issues at one point or another. This issue is stupidity and the lack of maturity and self-control.

Yes the Zion Police have a reputation up there for targeting black people. There's a reason for that, it's because the black citizenry insist on behaving like the stereotype, wild uncontrollable, and defiant of the law. While tazering is not a funny subject, it is better than the alternative, which is shooting her. .... So here are the simple facts, we have a huge woman, hopped up on nerve-deadening substances, in an angry rage, and police trying to take her down by shooting multiple electrical devices. BTW, if the officers were having fun with their tazers, they would use close contact devices. If they were using long distance tazers, then they knew that they were in danger, and that is the law that I respect.
I think that we need to hire stronger police officers. Granted that the taser did not seem to be doing much for Farrah, i think it is a very dangerous new weapon. There really is not telling how each individual will respond to that much electricity.
And the next time these boys in blue decide they need to use it again, they may not realize they cannot use it as many times on another soul.

The real question should be queried to Farrah herself, what would she have prferred the police to do
1. Beat her to the ground with billy clubs
2. Shot her in the foot to subdue her
3. called about 4 more cops to wrestle her to the ground
4. Use the taser
OR calm down and go willingly..... there is some personal responsibility for her actions

The ZPD did what they could, and if being seriously sadisitic towards an obese (female) person is the end result, than they did only what was in their BLUE BLOODSTREAM. I read years ago where in society certain individuals have the tendency to discriminate against people that are overweight. This country is going to hell in a handbasket because of its inability to move beyond its bias racial hatred. Why every time an African American is arrested for an unruley crime must it automatically be because of RACISM? I dont see Whites, Chinnes, Mexicans or any other nationality or color say "Oh it's racism!" Its a cop out!
