Come out, come out wherever you are

Dear Swami, can you help me find “B.B. of Waukegan.” I do not know for sure who it is, but I believe he, or she, officially maybe the dumbest person in Waukegan. Signed; The dumbest person in Gurnee

Ah, where to begin.

A person identified only as “B.B”. wrote to the Chicago Tribune this weekend and the Trib, having nothing better to do , reprinted the letter. Auto writer Jim Mateja counseled the person on this matter of auto performance which sort of sounds like some auto immune illness.

To wit:

Q: If I drove my car back and forth over the driveway, how long would it take to melt the ice? Signed : B.B., Waukegan

A: Have to suspect the efficiency of this approach to snow removal would depend on one of two things: How long before you ran out of gas or how long you could drive up and down your driveway before the wife and kids left and the neighbors had you committed.

Swami would like to enlist his countless fans and readers – OK, the both of you – to uncover who “B.B.” is and report him or her to Swami. Obviously B.B. reads the Trib and is about a smart as a box of rocks.

If you think you know who B.B. is, send us an email and we’ll contact all the likely candidates. If we uncover B.B., we’ll go to his house and see just what sort of maroon this guy is. And more important, why he’s injuring the reputation of Waukegan with this sort of lunacy. That’s the Swami’s job.
