"I recently plead guily to a misdemeanor charge for writing a bad check. I've been given one year's supervision which will end in February, 2007. I recently applied for a job and was informed that they will do a criminal background check on me. Since I am currently on supervision will this show up on my background check? What information will potential employers be able see? Incidentally, I've never been arrested before and have nothing prior on my record. Thank you in advance."
A background check will show the arrest and the fact that you were given Supervision, at least through the period of your supervision. They will see the date of arrest, the charge, and the adjudication of the case. (the sentence or outcome)
