Hi can you tell me the cost of a ticket for having no working brake lights in chicago?

thanks!

Having no working brake lights is a violation of 625 ILCS 5/12-208(a). This is an equipment violation, and is subject to the standard $75 fine if a conviction is entered. You have the option of appearing in court and taking proof to the Judge that you had the brake lights repaired. (a repair bill or the like).
