Last night, I went from thinking this was the stupidest idea EVER to thinking it was pretty freaking awesome. Check out David Cook singing "Hello" on "American Idol' last night. I couldn't agree more with the judges that it was risky, and it could be a hit song. In other words, this is what the show is all about. Did you like it?
How is the top 12 shaping up for you? This week, I thought the guys were overall pretty bad, but I have been feeling that the women are stronger this year all along, with the exception of David A. (who was a little off last night) Michael (who was WAY off last night) and Jason (who is not a judges' favorite). I think it's there for the taking by the women, as long as they keep doing well. Syesha, Asia'h Ramiele and Brooke (who I didn't like initially) all seem to be pretty strong to me. My personal fave of the girls is Syesha. She is gorgeous, she sings well and she has stage presence. Notice I haven't mentioned Carly. I just think she's overrated.
So many people have already crowned David A. the winner (including Simon), but when I hear him sing I think "Disney Soundtrack," not Kelly Clarkson style American Idol. He's a great singer. He's set now. But I don't think he's the American Idol. I think Jason is the best of the men, even though he is not a judge's favorite.
Also, I believe as of last night we have this year's Sanjaya, and his name is Danny Noreiga. I think he's more fun to watch tha Sanjaya was, but he doesn't have a chance of winning.
