OK, I've put this guy up here before, and here he is again. Jason Castro's "Over the Rainbow" from last night's "American Idol." If you haven't seen it and you like to smile, here you go.
I find myself agreeing with Paula, if I understood what she said...
Wow! I wasn't expecting that much of a "goose bump" factor from Jason Castro, altho in retrospect I guess I should have been after his amazing version of Hallejulah. His take on Isreal K's version of Over the Rainbow, complete with the Uke strumming and the line/verse switching was nothing short of breath taking. Maybe it's the combination of that bitter sweet song and those blue eyes and dreads, but whatever, it sent the goose bumps racing and started the heart thumping. Jason, we're so glad you're in this otherwise originality challanged competition. Ok, off to ITunes to download it right now!
I am planning on buying it on iTunes as soon as it's available. It will be my first iTunes "Idol" purchase (and since I still remember "Hallejulah" I may pick that one up too)!
That was really good. I can't wait to play it for my daughter, who really loves this song (she's not quite 3 years old).
